The mission of the Education for CWD Foundation is to:

1. Support activities related to education about diabetes in children
2. Fund scholarships for activities related to diabetes education, including diabetes summer camps and diabetes education conferences, for both the child with diabetes and the child's family
3. Work with schools and school districts to ensure that children with diabetes receive the support and care to which they are legally entitled (504 support and education)
4. Work with organizations both in and outside of the United States to provide children with diabetes access to diabetes education
5. Work with organizations both in and outside of the United States to strengthen ties between children with diabetes in the United States and children with diabetes in other countries
6. Fund scholarships for higher education for children with type 1 diabetes in the United States
